Meet the Directors!

Nick Seifert

Nick Seifert, originally from Bridgewater NJ, is the marching band director and instrumental music teacher at William Tennent High School.  He has been with the district since 2023 and instructs the concert bands, string orchestra, jazz band, Marching Panther Band; and teaches classes in guitar and music theory.

 

Previously, Mr. Seifert was band director at Immaculata High School in Somerville NJ.  During three years there, the band program rose to great performing accomplishments including a 4th place finish in NJMBDA state championships, a class championship at the BOA Piscataway Regional, and an appearance at the Metropolitan Wind Band Invitational.  Mr. Seifert is a graduate from the University of Notre Dame with majors in saxophone performance and biological sciences.

He directed multiple campus ensembles, and studied conducting under Mr. Dan Stowe.

 

Outside of school, Mr. Seifert is an active director, performer, and arranger. He performs with the Hawthorne Caballeros DCI all-age corps, directs the Somerset Hills Harmony chorus, and is a long-time handbell musician.  He is a member of NAfME, BCMEA, PMEA, the Barbershop Harmony Society, Handbell Musicians of America, Phi Beta Kappa, and has served on the board of the New Jersey Marching Band Director's Association.  He is currently working on his Masters of Music Education from Messiah University.

 

Mr. Seifert currently lives in Langhorne PA, and enjoys many activities that are warm and outside, from the band field, to High Rocks, the Jersey Shore, and everywhere in between.

Ethan Fogleman is the Brass and Visual Caption Head for the William Tennent High School Marching Band. Originally from York, Pennsylvania, he moved to the Greater Philadelphia area in 2023 and has been involved with the band ever since.

Ethan holds a B.M. in Music Education from Temple University. Following graduation, he returned to his alma mater to teach general music at Edgar Fahs Smith STEAM Academy. His curriculum emphasized rhythm and beat, piano and ukulele instruction, and project-based learning using digital audio workstations (DAWs). During this time, he also served as Assistant Director—and later Director—of the York City Middle School “BEARCUB” Marching Band. Under his leadership, the ensemble more than doubled in size and added a color guard program.

Since relocating, Ethan has worked as a long-term substitute band director in the Pennridge School District, teaching at Central Middle School and Grasse Elementary School. His roles have included directing the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Elementary Band, as well as helping facilitate several honors band festivals.

Ethan is currently an active trumpet player in the Montgomery County Concert Band. He is also an avid music arranger, particularly enjoying writing stand tunes for the marching band. When he’s not immersed in music, Ethan enjoys cooking and baking, playing Dungeons & Dragons, video games, and spending time with his cat, Dewey

Dr Scotty Horey

Scotty Horey (B.A., M.M.A., D.M.A.) (USA) is a widely internationally respected solo percussionist, drummer, teacher, health and wellness advocate, and coordinator of cultural exchange. Formerly based in Minneapolis, MN, USA, since 2022 he proudly serves as faculty and staff at the Music School of Delaware while maintaining his work as a solo artist, clinician, and freelance drummer/percussionist. This year, he is the winner of the 2025 University of Minnesota - Twin Cities Class of Liberal Arts and Sciences Emerging Alumni Award. from 2020-2022, he lived in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, Mexico where he held the position of full professor of percussion at the famous Universidad de Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas, the top percussion school of Mexico. From 2012-2020, he served as both principal percussionist of the Mankato Symphony Orchestra, and Lecturer of Percussion at the University of Minnesota, Morris. From 2009-present, he has been a featured solo artist and clinician in over 100 universities and international music festivals throughout the United States, Europe, and Latin America. His strongest passions include contemporary-classical music, progressive rock/jazz fusion, health and wellness, mindfulness, and cultural exchange between the United States and Latin America. Scotty’s primary musical instruments are the marimba and the drumset.

Lexi Horne

Lexi Horne is the color guard instructor for the 2025 marching season at William Tennent High School. She has been in color guard for over 10 years, including with Pennridge School District, West Chester University, and Main Line Independent. This is her first year with the school district and she hopes to help create a show that both spectators and performers are engaged with and enjoy.

Lexi recently graduated from WCU with an education degree. In her free time she enjoys being with family, watching live music, and going into the city.

Jack Burdwood

Jack Burdwood is a percussionist originally from Hopewell, New Jersey with over 20 years of performing and teaching experience across multiple percussive arts. She currently serves as the battery instructor for the William Tennent Marching Panther Band where she develops foundational technique, ensemble precision, and musical confidence in young percussionists.


Jack holds a degree in percussion performance from Wittenberg University where she was a regular performer with the symphonic band, handbell choir, and was a multi-year representative for her school at the Ohio Private College Instrumental Conductors Association (OPCICA) festival. She currently works as a freelance percussionist, regularly performing with wind ensembles, pit orchestras, churches, street bands, and chamber groups across the region. Jack continues her private studies under New Jersey based percussionist Anthony Di Bartolo with a focus on versatility within the percussive arts.


Jack is also a recognized figure in the national handbell community, having performed with advanced ensembles including the Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble, the Austin Handbell Ensemble, and the Distinctly Bronze national mass ring event. She has served on the instructional faculty for the Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar, working and performing with ringers across the country.
When not involved in music activities, Jack enjoys reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, baking overly ambitious desserts, and perpetually catching up on One Piece.

Noelle Olmsted

​Noelle is a 4th year student at West Chester University, where she studies music education with a focus on clarinet. Placing into Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble, and Chamber Winds ensembles there, Noelle has performed at events such as the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association annual conference. She has also marched three seasons with the “Incomparable” Golden Rams Marching Band, and had the opportunity to take part in the 2024 Rose Parade with the group. Noelle is a member of the Tau Beta Sigma Honorary Band Sorority.
